Billing

Veitur issues three main types of bills. General energy bills, bills for water supply and wastewater. Finally, bills for connections.

Water and wastewater bills

Property owners pay cold-water charges for the supply of water through the plumbing system to sinks and showers. Additionally, they are responsible for wastewater charges, covering the disposal and treatment of water from showers, toilets, and sinks before it is released into the ocean.

In certain service areas, property owners may receive separate bills for cold water and wastewater, while in other areas, these charges are included in real estate tax bills.

The cold-water and wastewater charges are fixed, calculated according to the house size, not based on usage like hot water and electricity. These charges are reviewed each year based on evaluation issued each January, available on My Account on our webpage.

In addition to a fixed rate, an estimate is calculated based on the property size in square meters. The bill is divided between nine due dates from February to October.
