The toilet is not a trash can
Every day we get a tremendous amount of trash in our refineries. It costs a lot of work and money to clean pumps and dispose of trash. By reducing the amount of undesirable materials we send through the sewers, we can reduce the cost significantly. In comparison, we flush four times as much trash down the toilet as the people of Sweden. The toilet is not a trash can, use it right!
A nightmare in the pipelines
Wet wipes are necessary and useful for many things. It is not until in its afterlife that it begins to make mischief. Wet wipes don’t dissolve easily and can cause damage if they are disposed of in the toilet. Pipes in homes can become clogged with subsequent water damage and cost of repair, cleaners in the sewage system can’t process them and fair badly in the fight against them.
We point out that although some manufacturers claim on their packaging for wet wipes, that they may be disposed of in the toilet, that is simply not right.
This of course applies to other sanitary products
