Structure


Sólrún holds a Master's degree in Management and Strategy from the University of Iceland and Copenhagen Business School. She previously served as Executive Director of Human Resources and Culture at Orkuveita, where she has worked since 2004, most of her time as Human Resources Manager. She holds a BA in Education from the University of Iceland. Sólrún is also the Chair of the Board of Directors of Samorka and the International Geothermal Association (IGA).

Director, has a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iceland, a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Reykjavík and a journeyman's degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as a project manager for investment projects at Veitur.

Brynja has an M.Sc. degree in operational engineering from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet and a B.Sc. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Iceland. She previously worked at Össur as a process manager. She also worked at Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen, where she held various positions in finance and production.

Pétur was previously Director of Sustainability and Business Development at Veitur and previously served as Assistant to the Mayor. Pétur holds an MA in Literature and a BA in History.

Halldóra G. Hinriksdóttir, Veitur's Head of Service, holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh with a focus on strategy and finance. She previously worked as Managing Director of the Icelandic Securities Centre hf., JCC ehf and at Landsbankinn. She has more than 20 years of management and leadership experience and has specialized in strategy, project and change management as well as lean management.

Sigríður Sigurðardóttir, Head of Digital Transformation, holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland. She completed part of her doctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. Sigríður holds both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iceland. She has worked at Veitur for the past five years. Prior to joining Veitur, she worked at Arion Bank and Matís.
