The carbon footprint of Veitur Utilities is calculated based on five emission categories: emissions due to fuel combustion in the vehicle fleet of Veitur Utilities, transportation of employees to and from work, emissions from waste, emissions from air travel for work, and emissions from contractors' work.

Calculate your carbon footprint

Veitur Utilities customers can calculate their carbon footprint due to use of hot water and electricity distribution. The conversion factors for Veitur customers who want to estimate their carbon footprint are shown in the table below. This carbon footprint corresponds to scopes 2 and 3 in the GHG protocol.

Customer conversion factor in climate accounting

For every unit (cubic meter (m3)) of hot water bought, CO2 equivalent based on the reference number for that year is emitted.

For every unit (kilowatt-hour (kWh)) of electricity distributed, CO2 equivalent based on the reference number for that year is emitted.
