Converting to Three-Phase Power
In most cases, it is possible to convert the connection from single-phase to three-phase. The fee for this conversion can be found in the connection fee price list.
Process for Converting from Single-Phase to Three-Phase Power
Hire a Certified Electrician: Contact a certified electrician to carry out the work.
Service Request: The electrician submits a service request to Veitur through the Construction Authority (Húsnæðis og mannvirkjastofnun).
Delivery Time and Cost Information: The contact person is informed about the delivery time and any associated costs.
Power Disconnection: Veitur disconnects the power in consultation with the electrician.
Modification of Electrical Panel: The electrician removes the single-phase meter and modifies the electrical panel.
Installation of Three-Phase Power: Veitur converts the power supply to three-phase and installs a new meter.
Appointment booking: After submitting a service request, it takes up to 15 days to book an appointment. Provided that the cable is suitable for three phases and that there is no need to make changes or expand the street cabinet
