No hot water in Garðabær, Álftanes, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur and Breiðholt from 22:00 on the 8th of November.
Due to repairs in the district heating system all of Garðabær, Álftanes, Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur and Breiðholt in Reykjavík will have no hot water from 22.00 PM Wednesday 8. November for about five hours. At 7.00 AM Thursday morning 9. November, all of the affected area should have full hot water again. See map of the affected area.
It is important to turn off all hot water taps to reduce the risk of an accident or damage when the water comes on again.
When water flows through a large district heating system again after a shutdown, it is normal that leaks can occur. In such instances it is important to let us know if you find evidence of a hot water leak so we can respond to this.
